Now, onto the shizz. I'm no good at these so bear with... using the MC's narrative below, what do YOU think she looks like?
School blows. Boys blow. Life blows. Well, not my whole life. The music's alright, I guess. I mean, it sort of saved me in a way. The same way I thought Ethan did. But he didn't save me for anything but leftovers. Not the good kind, either. The molded, mildewed take-out box hidden way in the back. Next to the rotted pickles and fermented jug of two percent.
I'm not like most girls. I sometimes pee standing up, only wash my hair when it rains and pretty much never speak my mind unless I'm about to blow. And man, am I about to blow. The shine from my guitar blinds me from all things Ethan, so I pick her up and strum a few chords. My guitars are always chicks because, like I said, boys blow. She lets me hold her and cry on her and sing to her and she never turns me down or talks about me in the bathroom stall or tells me what a loser I am.
Without her, I'm all the things he told me I was. Without her, I'm nothing. Without her, I'm only me. The screwed up girl who sucks at school, who sucks with boys, who sucks at life. My whole life.So there you have mu suckage. This is written from nothing, but based on my favorite MC. Check out better entries HERE. What does she look like to YOU?

This is a cool challenge. As always, the writing is great and I get a good feel for the character's personality. She reminds me of my stepdaughter's best friend, a bit of a misfit. And because of that, I kind of gave her the same physical features - an edgy hair style, cut herself with sharp lines, dyed jet black with a bold red streak and red undertones. Not goth or emo, just a bit dark. I'm thinking skinny. Dresses fairly trendy, but slightly on the alternative side. Comfortable with make-up but parents would say she wears too much. For some reason, I picture someone skinny and short vs tall and slender, but not sure where that comes from. And I think she might have a piercing few people know about :-)
I'm picturing Emma Stone from Zombie Land. Fierce. Dark. Hard-core, but still with that inner strength and beauty that makes a person magnetically attractive.

Argh, Matt that was who I'm picturing! lol. Yep, I see dark hair, dark eyes and dark moods...but there's somethign else about her that she keeps hidden from everyone.
Now I want to read more. Grrr.:)
for some reason selena gomez popped in my mind from the first line and she never went away... the character seems like a firecracker in danger of fizzling out...

I'm going out on a guessing limb here: she's a wannabe Goth Rock Diva, all black wayward hair white/pink streaks, black lipstick, big blue eyes blacked-up with eyeliner spread by palette knife, medium height, her prettiness disguised due to self-loathing and resistance to conform to female form after major heartbreaking experience!

hi miss candace! i think i just saw her the other day. :) shes average tall and has pretty long black hair that hangs down her back and shes got pretty hazely bluish eyes. she got a latin look with sorta light tan skin. shes got a nice build and needs to lose out a few pounds maybe 10. shes a rebel and gets mixed up sometimes on what she wants in her life. she loves music mostly rock. her guitar is her best friend.

dark dark dark. Dark brown hair. Dark hazel eyess. either dark clothes - gothic or punk style. Average height and build with nails grown long on only hand;)
I see Dakota Fanning from the Runaways movie (except not blonde). She can pull off the grunge look, but be soulful enough to know how to play the guitar. :)

Your MC has short brown hair, a little spiky -- but not because she gels it. That's just the way it looks after she fails to wash it for several days. She's attractive, but she's not the kind of girl you call "pretty." In fact, she can pass for a boy when she wears a baseball cap and a sweatshirt loose enough to obscure her bust. She does have a bust, however, and curvaceous hips that fill out her jeans in a way boys are starting to notice.
She wishes they would stop noticing. Life was simpler before they started noticing ...
I would have expected nothing less from you! I love your character voice, and of course your blog voice... they both so totally rock! Oh and don't you forget that I'm in love with you too! It's the love that no one else has... the best kind of love :)
My Guess: She's obviously not big on hygiene so I'm going with dirty dark brown hair, it's noticeable when she doesn't wash it (then again she doesn't care), she's cute but she doesn't like cute so baggy clothes help give her the look she wants... invisibility of course. I mean with a girl who isn't exactly a fan of boys and stuff appearance isn't her number one priority!

I like this!!! I'm totally picturing Milica Jovović from the movie Resident Evil. The short dark red wavy hair, doesn't care so much about fashion but she's definitely beautiful and maybe afraid to show it. She's a bad ass and she's earned that title for herself.

This doesn't suck! The voice is incredible and so strong. Loved it!
I see her with black hair, the ends dyed pink and blue. She's got piercings in her nose and eyebrow. Everything about her is narrow, her body, her facial structure, her feet. She dresses in black and most of her jewelry can be described as something silver hanging on a black cord.

I picture a 16-year old girl with long, dyed red hair and green eyes. She wears baggy t-shirts and jeans. She might have an eyebrow piercing or a lip ring. She's pale because she hangs out inside a lot. She's tall, thin, and flat-chested.

Awesome entry! I love her voice. I'd say she's got straight brown hair, big brown eyes, dark complexion. She's messy and doesn't think she's smart, but she's very creative.

So let's see she's in her late teens, tall and lanky. Wears t shirts that are too big for her (hides her shape), her hair is probably a dark blonde but since she only washes it when it rains, it looks darker, lank and maybe even a bit greasy. She wears jeans too long for her so the hems get chewed up underfoot.
Despite her efforts to hide, she's attractive. It takes her a long time to trust, and once you break that trust, she'll never forgive you, and probably beat herself up over the betrayal thinking she should have known better.
I picture Claudia on Warehouse 13 (SyFy Channel) I even see her talking and strumming at her guitar. Great voice going here.

LOVE the voice!!!!!!! She definitely sounds like a two tone hair kind of gal..maybe just blonde and black or maybe some color streaks thrown in, like a hot pink or blue. She sounds like a teen, 15, 16, likes punky type music...I'm seeing Avril Lavigne. Thin with black skinny jeans, Converse Allstars, some silver belts. Faded snug fitting concert tee. Black painted finger nails.

I see her with short, spiky black hair and several piercings everywhere. She wears tons of of eyeliner and a big silver chain for a choker. She's lanky, but has good, strong hands and a sharp, loud voice.
