...I want those buttermilk waffles you used to make on blustery winter mornings, the ones shaped like two tiny hearts stitched at the sides, because today I woke up with one of those knock-me-over feelings where the tip of my tongue clung to the pocket in my cheek like velcro, swollen with the mere thought of never seeing that smile on your face every time I asked for them; but then I remembered, with the sweet aroma disappearing in my mind forever, the taste of those sweet hearts will never touch my lips again, as long as I'm alive, without you...
Candyland. OUT.

That 100 words was sad and beautiful all at the same time. I also have a love/hate relationship with Bieber and don't know what he had to do with the blogpost...but I can't help but think he is secretly a teenage alien here to destroy the minds of young girls.
Love your sentence! And now I have a sudden urge for buttery pancakes. With powdered sugar. And more butter.
Don't get me started on Bieber....nothing against him as a human being, I'm sure he's a nice kid. But the media/marketing circus around him? @#(!#%&!@#$
Nice job, sweets!
Well done on the 100 words!
So does this mean you won't be going to Justin's new movie?
That sentence isn't about Bieber is it? ;) And seriously, I'm so making pancakes for dinner this week.
Nicely done!
Good job on the 100! :)
I took care of two sickies (hubs & son, aka "the Bronchitis Boys") over the weekend. Also washed my hands a thousand times & didn't breathe while in close proximity to said sickies, hoping to avoid joining the cough-fest.
Now I want some waffles. Great job at the 100 words!
That's a pretty freakin' awesome sentence. You will totally win!
I freakin' hate Bieber. Hate. Him.
I don't remember what I did this weekend. Is that a good thing? ;-)

ugh! beiber is so obnoxious! thank goodness my kids don't like him!!! but- greyson chance- that kid is amazing! go figure.
anyway, your sentence was beautiful and moving! and over the weekend i tried to keep my four-year-old's temperature under 103! yikes!
I don't know where the feck I've been, but I totally missed the "I've got an agent announcement". Congrats, la chica!!
Um, I'm not sure it's so wise to be a YA writer who admits to hatin' the Beebs. I mean, I get it. . . I do. Just don't turn any of the rabids against you. Ya gonna need 'em to get on the NYT Best Sellers. :D
Oh Bieber. I accidentally made Kylie cry at a store when I jokingly asked if she had Bieber Fever. She got really embarrassed and refused to talk to me. Now if he's on TV, she'll turn to me and be like, "Don't you dare, Mom."
OMG! Tracy's not the only one who missed the agent news. CONGRATS, Candace!!!!!
What did I do this weekend? Freeze my ass off. When's summer coming?????
you know, i think a lot of my dislike for Bieber would disappear if he just had a different hair cut
I enjoyed your 100 word sentence, very moving. And, like the others above, it has me craving pancakes....heart shaped pancakes with extra butter and powdered sugar. Mmmm.
I'm sorry I'm so late to the news, but CONGRATS on your new agented status! I hope to hear of a 3 book deal (from fought over auction) and sold movie rights very soon all leading to best seller status. :)
But, whatever happens, believe in yourself and enjoy the process however it plays out.
As for my weekend, it was busy and I fell further behind on many tasks that need to get done. BUT, I did get caught up on all my critiques for several CPs.
At least I'm caught up in one area, right?
Love,
Lola
Beautiful, wistful, longing -- I'm impressed! And SO with you on the Justin Beiber thing!!
I spent the weekend roping and wrangling three small children. These free range children are almost unbreakable, I tell you. I thought about selling them to recoup costs, but the wife disagrees.
I wrote about you today. I hope that's okay. I wasn't too mean.
hi miss candace! wow i could really love that longy sentence. on the weekend i got my homework done. i watched scary gator python octopus movies on saturday and one at night i watched with my cp cause i was home alone and we did fun emails back and forth talking on fun stuff about it. i got up a new post for on my blog. i pinned my brother in restling and cashew came to visit last night and got strawberry jam for a treat. cant wait to hear bout your br80 hug. :)
...big hugs from lenny
hmm. I dont get the whole Justin Bieber thing.
And I can't believe I missed the agent news. Congrats! You so deserve this. Here's to the next bit of the journey.
What did I do this weekend? Edits. Oh, and sleep. Lots of sleep. lol.
Who's Justin Bieber? LOL Ok, I don't live on Earth. I know. Congrats again on scoring an agent. You rock, sister! :o)
How can you hate Jbiebzy?
I often wonder what percentage of girl's who say they like/love him actually have listened to his music. Same goes with the Twilight fans, how many have actually seen/read it and how many are just bandwagon because they saw a picture or the hype.
Great thought generating post. :)
Love the sentence--love it! It was so descriptive and powerful. Not just anyone can make a person feel hungry AND sad in only 100 words! :-)
I hate Justin Bieber too. I hope no one talks about him anymore after his voice changes.
And get sentence!
*sigh* great sentence. I can't type today.
Haha! I just glanced up at Nicoles "get sentence!" and it made me snicker. Thought she was being oddly demanding...
ANYWAY! Your entry was so sad and lovely!! Can't wait to hear(read) all your news!
Mondays do kind of suck don't they?! I went to the San Diego State Writers' Conference this last weekend and had an amazing time. I have a feeling great things will come of it! *Fingers Crossed*
Though I loathe you for making me think of Bieber - on a Monday no less - I adore you. Great job on 100 words. I'm off to make pancakes. No, really.
You rocked these 100 words!! Makes me want pancakes. Thanks.
Awesome 100 words! So sad and powerful. They were great!
You are one amazing writer! :D
Great 100 words, suga!
Mondays suck. So does the Beib.
This weekend, we drove 3 hours round trip for a burger.
And I wrote.
And slept.
<3
Came and saw. Thanks for entering- and CONGRATS on the agent. Woo hoo!
That was sad, and very beautiful.
I finished my rewrite! Basically it was writing a whole new novel with 50K+ new words. Only the premise and characters were the same. Oy! So that was a big accomplishment!
