Well friends, it's been a strange week. Full of crazy highs and of course the lows. But you've been there for me, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate each and every one of you. For shizz. I can't say I'm "healed" but I hope I'm on my way and honestly, I think it's from all of your love, prayers and good vibes. Oh and WELCOME NEW FOLLOWERS!
I want to end this week on a positive note because the mood has been so somber and...today's no different than any other Friday so go wash your friggin' hands and prepare for the awesome while that song sticks in your head the rest of the day (you're welcome).
Random Fact: So, despite everything this week, the hubs and I actually decided it was time to try to get healthy (resolution anyone?) and joined Weight Watchers. As of today, one week in, I've lost a whopping 1.5 pounds. Whooppee (sarcasm). The hubs lost...wait for it...SEVENEFFINGPOUNDS. Though I'm proud, it killed my weight loss buzz. I'm really hungry. REALLY hungry.
Random Fact: Okay this isn't about me but HHOLLLDDD UPPP! A certain someone's publicized pics sport a very familiar piece of clothing. To see what I'm talking about read the Audioperv HERE.
Thanks for taking my mind of things with your delicate hands. New to Feel Me Up? Be sure to come back every Friday for more Candyland random facts. Until Monday friends, I've seen resolutions posted everywhere but you tell me: What's your numero uno, top priority resolution?
Mine? Lose another five before January 29th. Though, at this rate, it will take me longer. Meh.
Candylandhungry. OUT.

I know! Men can lose weight so much easier. Not fair! I always gain about 5 pounds from Halloween to New Years and this year was no exception. I know what to do: less sweets. I seriously have like 4-5 desserts a day! So I'll cut back and hopefully lose it by spring.
Those are awesome pics of New Med and Brady looks awfully cute in his J2W shirt!
Have a good weekend, Candace. Curl up on the couch for hours if you need to. Exercise to get sad energy out. And hug hubs and your beautiful daughter repeatedly.
Morning Candy. Glad to see that you're on the path to feeling better. Congrats on joining WW - Mike and I are doing it, too and yeah, the bastard loses twice as much as I do and eats more. So NOT fair! Keep at it, though. The first week is the hardest.
If you get a chance, hop on over today and help out this week's anonymous critique!
We can kvetch and commiserate together. I also joined WW. I had lost 4 lbs. but found a few of them over Christmas, so right now, I'm down 1.5 lbs. too.
Crap. Today's weigh in day. I almost forgot.
Gawd, it is so depressing how much faster men can lose weight. It's their metabolism, or the extra muscle mass, or something. Hang in there! Feed your ears with good music. No calories in music. :)
to finish my freaking novel. oh, and pack up my house to move in September. not really resolutions, just goals.
btw, love your blog template. almost makes me want to change mine but i like my giraffes too much.
Men lose weight faster. It sucks but they also have to shave their face so I guess we're equal. Thinking of you sweets!
Congrats on the resolution! Mine: keep breathing and moving forward. How you ask? We'll figure that out together, 'K?
And doesn't he look fine in that tee too! Now I have something else to look at all day.
yikes! i gotta be the only one that could needs to get more fat. so i could eat whatever i wantand lots of it. oh oh im getting some pretty mean looks. ha ha. i dont got any resolutions so ill make up this one right now. im resolving to always love candyland and be there for her. hows that for a cool one. :)
...big hugs from skinny lenny
Men tend to lose weight faster. 1-2 lbs a week is the safe amount to lose. Anything above that tends to be more water loss than anything else. So you husband lost more water than you. Big deal. ;)
I'm glad to see you're feeling a bit better. I do think the love from the blog-o-sphere helps. As someone who has been counting calories and following my own WW inspired plan for 1289 days now, I can tell you that it SUCKS that men lose weight so much faster than women. It's just not fair, but what can you do. 5 lbs by the end of the month is a great and reasonable goal and I'm sure you'll succeed.
Is that you in the video because, newsflash: it shows your face!?!?! WTH?
Also, don't held it against Erik, it's super easy for us studly dudes to lose weight. Hell, I lose five pounds just taking the browns to the superbowl.
Hey! My resolution too (surprised?).
I started a new way to eat and I'm actually eating more than I was before. It's just all healthy food, so I'm missing my chocolate.
Good luck Candace.
I was doing really well with the weight loss about giving birth. Lost all of the baby weight from child #2 and was halfway to losing the rest of the leftover weight from #1. Then the holidays happened.
*sigh* Regained 5 pounds.
And hubby wants to lose weight. Whenever he goes, all he has to do is cut back a little and the weight melts off. But me? Not so lucky.
*sigh* I want to lose 20 pounds before next year.
Doable but it ain't gonna be easy.
oh man. i'm reaaaaaly considering the weight watchers thing. Let us know how it goes. I've heard such great things about it lately
Men lose weight so much faster... Punks. Just talking about it makes me want to hit a baby (joking... seriously... it would be plastic anyhow... stop judging).
Good luck with the weight loss!!
I wish I could watch the video but my computer sucks at work so I'll have to refrain from doing my usual freak out and check it out at home. Poo.
My best new year's resolution is to get better at handling the money. Now, if my good hubby-buddy would jus' hand over the checkbook so's I could handle more of the money, it would be a lot easier.

I hate how guys lose weight! Jealous much. Good luck with all that!
Hope your weekend is full of awesomeness for you!
He does look good in your shirt :-)
Hope the weekend brings you some fun.
I can't even tell you how happy I'd be to lose 1.5 pounds, in a week, a month, whatever! I'm convinced I'm never losing another ounce, ever. Another joy of being over 40. :(
I really think it's just harder for women to lose weight than men, so don't compare your progress to your husband's and get discouraged. You're already doing way, way better than most of us!
Candy ~ I've been MIA from the blogs for a couple weeks now and I just now caught up on what you've been going through during the holidays. Your resiliency is inspiring!!! I hope some of the positive vibes I'm sending in your direction find root.
And the weight loss thing...yeah, us guys lose it much faster (at least at first). I'm doing the same thing...shooting for a leaner, heathier version of myself. Just remember, just like writing, there are no short cuts! :)
Don't men make you crazy??? My hubby thinks about losing weight and he drops 10 pounds...I stop eating, exercise for 10 hours a week and drop a whopping big... half pound....
Actually, I'm doing a detox and I've lost 4 pounds this week! I'm keeping it on the down low....I've decided it's not a resolution it's a plan.
So my top priority for 2011 is....to be happy.
