Feel me up Friday Awards: He tucks me. So what.

Sooo....It's the big weekend. The one where I get to lay in bed all day, have my meals served to me on a fancy tray, all the errands will be run, all the chores will be done, and my loving sweetheart and darling daughter will treat me like the jewel I am.

April Fool's! Wait...what month is it??......

All of that might happen. And monkeys might fly out of my butt. Not to burst the hubs's bubble, buuuuuttttt the holidays aren't his forte. Birthdays get overlooked, anniversaries...meh, and Valentines...don't get me started on the disaster that was V-Day '05.

This year, I've decided to set the bar really, really, REALLY low. That way, it's bound to be an awesome day, even if he only remembers I spent one two THREE DAYS bearing his child (who didn't want to come out). Whatevs.

My little ball of sunshine, I'm sure, will be on her best behavior. Mommy's little helper will nip arguments before they turn into body convulsing tantrums and, instead, say things like "Mommy, we're best buds. I wuv you."

On the flip side, being a mother is the best thing that's ever happened to me, and will never, ever be topped.

Random Fact: My daughter's name, Lilliana Hope, came to me in a dream. She was originally going to be Kameron, something, but my gut led me to (what I think) suits her perfectly. Calla Lilys are my favorite flower and HOPE is what she gives me, forever and ever.

Random Fact: The hubs tucks me in every night. I have a routine (hello OCD). He tucks me (please don't confuse "tucks" with something else...), lights out, door cracked. Then, usually, he lets me fall asleep first since I such a light sleeper.

Whew! Good feel-up today! Did you moisturize? I can tell. Now, onto awards.

Given to me by the lovely Carolyn V.

My lovely blog bud, Jen and I are having a battle of sorts. Every Friday. I was kind of stumped, being Mother's Day weekend and all. So, I give you Gram, dinosaurs and dragons.

Have an good AMAZING weekend. Hug your mothers and tell them Candyland says yoyoyo.

Random Fact: My younger daughter, Madison, was conceived in Madison, WI. Awesome, I know. Plus her name kind of sounds like Matt's son. Sad, I know.

Thanks for sharing Candace, here's hoping that your Mom's day is as wonderful as you are.

Today's guest bloggers are Lisa and Laura Roecker!

I hope your weekend blasts all your expectation away and leaves you giddy.
Getting tucked in by your husband every night is pretty sweet... I'm usually blogging til 1 or 2 am so if anyone does any tucking it's me.
Happy mother's day.

Yeah, I'm not sure if my husband even realizes that it's Mother's Day this weekend. *sigh* But that's very sweet that he Tucks you in :)

Candace,
You complete me. Waitaminute. I mean, thank you for the award. Seriously, I appreciate it and the sentiment behind it. You made my day. :)

Also, I love the reason behind your daughter's name. My parents had a reason for naming me Shannon and adore knowing they put so much thought into it.

Have a great day.

Awwww. You are lucky. My husband falls asleep first. Always. He does wake me up in the morning though. Have a great Mom's day. I will be in the same boat as you. In fact Chad might have to work on Sunday if the soccer tourney gets canceled tomorrow due to bad weather. I could be at his mom's house without him. FUN!

Happy Mother's Day! (Love your video, btw.) Lilliana is such a beautiful name. I feel in love with it in Poland, where I taught for two years. It's a relatively common name there (albeit with one l in the middle).

I hope you have a great weekend!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I love her name. :)

I think the nightly tucking is sweet and (almost) makes up for screwing up the holidays.

Love,
Lola

Happy Mother's Day!!!! Yeah, my expectations are pretty low too, but us moms are a pretty low maintenance breed, right? Hopefully we'll get a few sloppy kisses and some home made cards!

Ugh. Had problems with the internet all day, so I apologize for such a late response to those without an email I can reply to!

Thank you all for the M-Day wishes! I appreciate each and every one of you for every comment you leave. xoxo

Labor for three days? My, Candace, you certainly earned to have at least one really good Mother's Day!

I mean, I wouldn't to do something that felt good for three days, much less labor pains.

May your Mother's Day not turn out to be an April's Fool Day, Roland

Thanks for the award! I was happily reading along, enjoying the post as always and all of a sudden there I am! Imagine that!

Hope your little angel is angelic for you this weekend!

I'm not expecting too much on Mother's Day either. Sometimes, my husband is great with these things, other times, not so much. lol. What really sucks is I have to work, so no fun for me. :-(

Happy Mother's Day, Candace! I hope you get wonderfully surprised. BTW, your husband sounds completely normal and your little one sounds like such a cutie.

Also, congratulations on the QueryTracker blog contest - wahoo!! Your story sounds awesome.

On Thursday night my stepdaughter said: Dawn, I'm blowing off all my friends this weekend because it's Mother's Day.

Bewildered (she's only been in my life a year), I said: That's so sweet, honey.

On Friday night she said: I know I *said* we'd hang out all weekend, but, is it ok if I go to Erin's. And sleepover?

I won the bet with my hubby - which means I'll get pampered.

Happy Mother's Day. Hope your hubby surprises you.

Aw. I hope you get some specialness this weekend. My sweetie is a chef/restaurant owner, and the university here always has graduation on Mother's Day, so it's his busiest day of the year. He'll be out the door by 8 a.m. tomorrow and home around 10 p.m. Second busiest day of the year? Valentine's Day.
