Balls to the wall, or nothing at all

Last night, I fell down the stairs. It f@cking hurt so I ran a hot bath. It was ice cold so I cried.

Rewind<<<<<<<

We all have bad days and yesterday can officially suck it. The birthday princess was a birthday nightmare and some things I've been working really hard on, fell through. I try to juggle a lot of different balls (hehe) because I like to need to stay busy. For my sanity. Most of those balls (hehe) have the potential to get a foot in the door or make a name for myself or (insert something big and impressive here).

I hate it when I drop my balls.

Whether it's my fault or someone else's, it doesn't matter to me. The end result is still the loss of a ball (hehe). And it still hurts to know I've lost said ball (hehe). And I wish I could pick the ball back up and start over, but I can't always do that. A couple of my balls are gone forever (hehe).

Completely lost? Yeah. Me-effing-too.

But Candyland always finds her way, somehow. It's like fumbling around in the dark for your pants after...err...umm...doing laundry. In the dark. Yes...

So tell me, friends, do you have a lot of balls (in the air) (hehe)? Has one slipped through your fingers you wish you could get back?

Candyland + Balls. OUT.

Many many many times. People's advice though never really helps. I find discovering a cure on my own works best. Whe I try what other people tell me to do, I don't succeed and then I make myself feel worse! You get that bounce back in your balls soon ;o)

I'm over here ROFL each time you say balls (hehe) what started out as just a regular word has now become one that I hear every time will be thinking of you giggling in a corner (talk about creepy)

As for eating my hamster... uncool.

Are you going to jump on the anthology train? Choo choo! It'll fix your balls!

Aw, firstly - Lots of pink sparkly belated birthday wishes for your princess!! ;)

Secondly, balls are everywhere right now. I'm slipping over them. LOL

And lastly - that is an evil looking cat!

Have a lovely week! ;)

Oh, gosh! I feel your pain. I fell down a flight of stairs at work while wearing a skirt. I slid down on my butt. By the time I stopped, the skirt was around my waist, giving coworkers more than enough to talk about.

Worse, I couldn't get up. I'd fractured my tailbone. Had to sit on a donut for weeks.

Balls in the air is sadly, a condition that plagues most working moms, I think. The house, the perfect mom thing, the perfect employee thing, not to mention our friends, husbands, parents and siblings that all need something.

The most balls in the air at once? Going to grad school while working full time and tending two kids, house, and husband. I never finished that degree.

I hope you have a great day. You're owed!

You said balls. Hehe.

*ahem* I mean, I'm sorry you dropped your balls (hehe--dang. now you have me doing it).

I learned a long time ago that I suck at juggling, so I avoid it whenever I can. When I'm forced to juggle, I'm pretty much prepared for droppage, because it always happens.

You like balls to the wall, I prefer pedal to the metal. Which always reminds me I like to go fast and then reminds me of that song I can't drive 55 which now reminds me that when we were on the boat this past weekend we passed a dude who looked a lot like Sammy Hagar.

What were we talking about?

Oh yeah. I guess at the end of the day it's not so much how many balls (hehe) you have in the air...but do you look good juggling them? And here is where you insert Billy Crystal reminding you that yes "You look mahvalas!"

Bet you are feeling better now right?

Wow. I actually considered this kind of post this morning, but was heading toward a vent like: I drop enough balls (tee hee) so I really don't need other people to be dropping them for me. Some months I'm freaking awesome at juggling. Other months, like this one, can suck it.
Here's hoping you sort out which balls are worth keeping... tee hee.

Tim can only jiggle - er, juggle - one ball at once, er, two, I mean two, I swear! (shehehe)

I have so many balls in the air that I feel like a planet with dozens of moons orbiting around it. And instead of falling down, my balls (moons) just seem to wander off. :(

I keep my balls close to me. Wow ... falling down the stairs. That's rough. Hope they were carpeted.

I'm glad you're okay! My sister fell down the stairs a few weeks ago - she broke her tailbone and shattered three vertebrae in her neck, which require surgical replacing.

Hang in there, Candace. Lean on us, and we'll hold you up as best we can. You are one of the strongest people I know. Maybe BR8o has a few extra balls you can borrow (he he he)

Thanks for the giggle at the expense of your balls (hehe). And sorry for you about falling down the stairs. That really sucks. Hope you're feeling better.

And yes, I have an abundance of balls (hehe) I'm juggling and would happily get rid of some of those balls (hehe) if it were at all possible. Unfortunately, it's not. I'll be juggling all these balls (hehe) at least until May.

*sigh*

Oh no! I hate falling down the stairs! I'm so sorry you got hurt! Hope you're feeling better today though.

When one ball drops there is always another waiting to be cupped.

No worries! Something will always come around again, and things always work out for the best (no. I'm not trying out my generic pep-talk. It's totally true)

Ouch!!! I'm sorry you fell down the stairs! I twisted an ankle pretty bad doing that. I ended up in the hospital.

I can't stop laughing. I have too many balls to hold. hee hee. It will get better. Just hang in there.

You need Axe. SO you can wash your balls.

I drop my balls all the time. I pick up the ones I can and leave the others on the floor to keep the dust bunnies company. ;)

Aw, we all have rough days. I have a fair amount of balls (hehe) in the air right now myself, and it's a juggling act, all right, to keep them all in the air. I'm sure one or two'll probably fall and smash like a rotten egg.

Julie Musil said...

Girl, you crack me up. I'm juggling right now. Hope I don't drop any balls (he he).

Dude, I think we blogged about the same thing today. Or yesterday. Or both. I sometimes have so much crap that I'm juggling that I want to cry. So then I just drop everything, say no to everyone, and try to find my balance. And it's a vicious cycle, as it seems to happen every six months or so. Le sigh. Must get better at balance right from the start.

Candace...I'm sorry you fell down the stairs! I hope you didn't fracture anything. My daughter fell down the stairs last summer and fractured her tailbone. She had to sit on one of those lovely pillows all summer. YIKES! Can you imagine? Take care of yourself...accidents happen when you have too many irons in the fire or balls in the air....

Vicki Rocho said...

I do NOT like having a lot of balls in the air or in my hand. Nope, I like 'em individually, thank you very much. (heheh)

Sorry about the stairs--that totally sucks.

(((hugs)))) on your ball trouble. Have you tried lovingly caressing them?

Sorry about your fall! :( We're troopers for getting the wind knocked out of us.

And grr at that cat! If he really ate my hammie, I'd punch him in the face!

O hope you're feeling better, and that you find a way to get those balls back up in the air :-)
