So, this is awkward

So...

I completely forgot today was Monday...

To be honest, Candyland was *so* busy with crap over the last few days, I forgot to write this post. #badcandy. I'll be back in full force tomorrow, I swearz. Until then, savor this image of Candyland in stretchy pants preparing for Thursday's feast. That's right. When I said I was going to wear them, I was serious. What of it?
Since I started revising, I've lost track of days and time. I finally figured out what the eff to do with those treasured agent notes and beta comments, so for now, my brain is kind of mushy. In fact, yesterday I sat at the kitchen table for five hours. When I finally emerged the house was a mess. Apparently it had been that way all day, but I didn't notice. Oh and it caught fire and burned to the ground, but I was busy and my work station was left in tact. It's also possible my daughter grew up and started college, but at least I got the 3rd round of revisions done...

Favorite part of the holiday: Giving myself permission to gorge without guilt
Worst part of the holiday: Knowing the next day my stretchy pants would be tight

If you want something as sweet as Candy to read, I was featured in an article, written by the adorable Lindsey Sablowski, for Teen Inskst Magazine. You can read it HERE.

Until tomorrow friends, PLEASE tell me: What was the best part of your holiday? The worst?
Candylandlovesstretchypants. OUT.

Oooh! Tight pants! That's the worst part of the holidays! Take months and months to loose all that extra weight gained by eating all that delicious food! YUM! And yuck at the same time.

I <3 my yoga pants for this reason.

My days are all blurring too. If it wasn't for school and work I'd probably still be sleeping. Zzzzzzz

I'm glad I'm not the only one losing track of days. The holidays get everything jumbled, on top of that I still need to buy gifts and also pack for my upcoming move (two weeks away) AHHHH! Never enough time!

I am so with you! My days are nothing but a whirlwind, lately. Favorite part - the turkey was moist and I loved the pies. lol Worst part - easy: the clean up!

I SO grok you on the "lost in writing-oblivious to the world" experience, although it hasn't been coming so easily for me lately. I wish I could be struck by revelation!

Best part: The awesome Steampunk Ball in Philly on Saturday night.

Worst part: Writing lesson plans for the upcoming teaching week after 5 wonderful days of ignoring my job.

Cool mention at Inkst and woo hoo on plugging along on your revisions!
Best parts: Eat turkey dinner at 1 then leftovers again at 7! Plus four days of family fun!
Worst part:I just had week old pie for dessert and I think it went bad! My tummy hurts!

I would laugh, but I swear the kiddos really do grow up just that fast. *sighs*

Best = Eating the meal I'd been waiting for for and entire year.

Worst = You don't want to know.

the pumpkin pie my MIL makes every year - I must not let any go to waste so it all goes straight to my waist!

Love the stretchy pants! :)

Happy to hear the revisions are coming along.

There's no Thanksgiving over here, but I do love a bit of roasted turkey!

i also forgot that i actually had to, you know, write a blog post for today. Hence my crappy post.
I also allowed myself to gorge, and only regretted it after i stepped on the scale after my morning workout.
sad.

It's so hard for me to keep track of the days. I'm constantly asking what's the date? What day is today?

And stretchy pants are a godsend.

I'm always screwing up what day it is. Except I always remember when I have to send my kids to school. ;)

I just don't remember the day of the week.

You are much wiser than I am. I wore pants that were a little snug to start with and then paid for it by the time we concluded our second Thanksgiving meal.

Nope, you nailed it. Food is the best part. January is always a biotch though when you realize the only thing in your closet that fits anymore are the tub top from halloween 3 years ago that is stretched to the point of snapping and the wrap around skirt from your "hippy phase". Oh well. worry when it comes!

Glad you had a good holiday and got some serious revision done! Yeay! I say that deserves a treat for yourself!

Worst part was not having one - since I'm from Canada. Glad you had a good break with lots of good food.

Yay for revision progress. That's awesome!

Hm, for me, the best part of my weekend was getting some serious reading done. The worst part was having to rearrange all the furniture in my in-laws living room for them. I'm still a little sore. Sigh. :)

good for you on the revisions, dont 4get to put a picture near your toddlers bed so she remembers what you look like.

I love the comments about the indulgent over eating leaving your stretchy pants too tight LOL! :O)

Worst part: late-arriving post-op complications that show up at precisely 6pm the night before Turkey day when you can't reach a doctor for anything- then the same deciding to hang around into the new week. Fun.

Best: finishing NaNo against the odds and mostly with my eyes closed (no lie)

You're cute, even in stretch pants.
The rest of us, not so much.

Best: Having my two little nieces (and their parents, of course) visit from Dallas.

Worst: Putting on jeans to go out to a movie after wearing stretchy pants all day.

Sorry I missed this yesterday! You must have posted late ... Hmm, best part of my 'non-holiday' was revising my novel. Worst part of it was the freakin' dull never-ending headache that makes me feel constantly icky. :o)

Comfortable holiday eating pants--now that is up my alley.

Congrats on the plug in Lindsey's article, and I hope she introduces you to some new readers.
