If you don't love this, I'll jolly your face

Dudes, so even after a CRAP-filled weekend, it's time for Jen's Be Jolly By Golly Blogfest and lucky for you, Candyland loves everything sweet, so this was a breeze. The jolly part, meh. You can visit the other delicious entries (the recipes, not the entrants) HERE.

But before you go, take off your shoes, stay awhile. Wait, do your feet smell? Maybe you should keep your shoes on. But kick them up, relax. Wait, do you have snow on your shoes? Keep them on the floor. Lean back, take a breath. Wait,...okay nevermind. Yesterday I made the motherloadeth of treat baskets for some sweet peeps.

One of those creations was my every-occasion AFTER P-P-P-PARTY POPCORN!
To make this super sweet treat, here's what you need:
-1 bag of popcorn, popped (obvs)
-1/2 large bag peanut M&Ms
-About 2 cups of mini marshmallows
-10-12 Hersheys kisses (you can substitute with any of your favorite candy for this one. Sometime sI use Reese Pieces)
-1 package of white baking chocolate (preferably the microwavable kind
-Super-sized bowl (not to be confused with the Superbowl) (that would be weird)

Here's whatcha do:
Melt the white chocolate according to package directions.
Shake out half of the popcorn into the bowl.
Place 1 cup mini marshmallows, 1/4 of the M&Ms and half of whatever other candy you use on top.
Drizzle liberally with white chocolate (you'll use a good amount)
Follow with the 2nd layer of everything.
Drizzle with white chocolate again.
Let harden (tee-hee).
When hard (tee-hee) break apart with a knife and ration into Ziplock bags or your mouth. I prefer my mouth.

It's so easy, my mom could do it. *insert thunderous laughter* I don't have any sweet pics of my decorations, or tree or really anything else. Nor do I favor any particular bev(erage). I sacked this crap up and put it in my baskets. I'm pretty sure they'll love it. If they don't, I've been polishing up on my king-fu.

There you haves it. Tell me, new friends, friends of old, do you have a favorite holiday recipe?
Candylandstuffed. OUT.

Candy popcorn in Candyland! You rock, girl. Hey, maybe someday you can take that candy and add it to our popcorn maker in the hubs movie theater in the basement. He calls it his man cave, but really it's the lounge the kids go to watch movies. It's set up like a theater. lol

Enjoy your Christmas, hon.

OMG OMG OMG! I just had some of this (minus the yummy candy bits) at a party and it was UNBELIEVABLE. Adding the candy in there would be -- whoa. Copying and pasting recipe for posterity!

Wow, I've gained so much weight from this blogfest, and have an immense craving to bake goodies today. My kids will be thrilled. My husband's taken to doing the baking lately, and in the words of my 11 yo (which I whole heartly agree with), the goodies are tasting rather bland. ;)

Wow... that sounds amazing!!!! I'm with DL, I can already feel the weight gain.

I feel like I've done this blog fest all wrong. I should have asked all those who participated to send me the treats before hand so I can taste them all while reading your blogs. I feel cheated... *huffs*

That popcorn had better be in my stocking come Christmas morning or I will throw things. If I send this post to my husband, do you think he'll get the hint?

Colene Murphy said...

Oh hey! We do something similar with Captain Crunch, melted choc. M&M's, nuts, and marshmallows! Okay, I think the only difference is the popcorn for captain crunch, as far as I can remember. I think. . .

YUM! So Christmasy though!

Sounds like that popcorn treat must share a common ancestry with something my wife made last week for the kids to take to school - Rice Krispies instead of popcorn, but smothered in white chocolate just the same to glue it together. Roll the mixture into balls, top each one off with 1 normal and 1 mini Oreo cookie to make a hat, chocolate pieces for eyes & nose - et voila! rather cute snowmen.

Didn't manage to get a photo because they all vanished too quickly!

Crap! I almost closed my browser for fear my hubz would see that popcorn treat! What are you trying to do to me, Candyland? I'm on a die-et!
