Feel Me Up Friday: If my underwear is sticking to my clothes, it's because I'm foreign

Another week has passed and time has....YAWN.

Sorry. Thought we were back in Mrs. Whatshername's tenth grade English class. You know, the one where Candyland spent 90 minutes scribbling desperate pleas for Zach Goff's affection onto a flimsy piece of paper? Oh, you mean you actually paid attention in class? Hrm... *Note to self: Rewind time and experience this thing called English class everyone else is privy to*

At least I have an excuse when I 'ain't got no' explanation for my horribly-written stories. The adverbs made me do it. I swearz. Now go waRsh up. Them hands ain't lookin' too clean. They better smell like mangos. Because it's a mango-kind-of-week.

Random Fact: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction (I may be lacking in hablo English, but there's a reason I work for a physicist) (Okay, there's no reason) (Because I have no idea what he's talking about half the time) (And I'm not exactly sure what nanotechnology is) (I digress). For every load of laundry I do, another load magically appears. And for every piece of underwear I take off, there will inevitably be another one stuck to the OUTSIDE of my clean clothes.

Random Fact: English is my second language. If you meet me in person, you'll notice an accent and strange words. You may wonder where it stems from. I'm from the nation Tired and speak the native language of Mommy. And no, it's not as exotic as it sounds.

That was sweeeeeeeettttt, friends! But you know what's even sweeter? Yesterday's AMAZING response to my cry for help. Thank you all for giving a crap about my crap. It means more than you all know.

Until Monday friends, do you speak any other languages? And did you take your medicine today? I'll be taking mine SUNDAY...

P.S. Enter this contest! And this one too! $$$ + $$$ = :)

Hah, I know that land, too. Guess I must know three languages, then. English is uno, but French is my secondary. It's more fun to swear in French. Hey, I should ask Creepy Girl. LOL

Funny you should mention mango...

I speak mangonese. It's an off-the-path dialect. Not many (read:any) know it exists.

ha ha so what does hablo mean? and if you want to know more about nanotechnology just go watch GI Joe rise of the cobra, that is where i get all of my info from.

Ha! I am fluent in Mommy, too. It was relearning non-Mommy as my kids grew that was tough. ;)

I speak still-in-french-mode english for a couple weeks until I get my yankeeisms back. basically a lot of pauses filled with 'eeeh' and trying to make english words out of french ones or using french expressions that sound stupid in english.

I speak mommy at home. I speak wife when I'm on the phone to my husband. At work I speak 'I'm the american mooching off your social security system'

And in the street I speak 'don't look at me or I'll eat you'.

I hear you on the mommy speak. When I went back to work after my third child was born (I was a drug rep), I tried to talk to a physician (he was the first one I visited on my first day back). I'm not even sure what language I was speaking when I opened my mouth. And judging from his expression, neither was he.

I quickly learned after that to announce I was just back from maternity leave to explain my complete lack of comprehension for the English language. ;)

Oh, girl, I was born and raised in the land of Tired - maybe we're related! Have a great weekend, Candace! :-)

I think I might speak that language otherwise known as gibberish, but only around 10pm at night.

I'm excited to learn that while I'm doing laundry I'm learning physics.

Happy Friday!I speak some French and a smattering of Spanish, and some very bizarre Arabic words thanks to hubs who's Egyptian. Of course he couldn't teach me anything useful!

Did somebody say Mango? Okeydoke, I just shimmied over to the fridge where I am proceeding to check my stash? Do I have enough? Score! I do. Mango Margarita's tonight my friend and only in your honor. So if I have a monster headache tomorrow I will totally be blaming it on you.

I love how fair that is.

I don't speak another language but I do have superpowers. Does that count?

Have a great weekend!

I used to speak Aba(Abu?) which doesn't count because it's totally nerdy and I'm going to pretend I didn't just admit it. okey-dokey. yup.

Happy weekend!

Haha! I speak a few languages but nothing as useful as Mummy speak. My little one is now correcting me so I'm now reverting back to adult speak. ;)x

I've been to the nation or Tired, but I don't speak their primary language, Mommy. I speak the dialect Grading Papers.
