So sorry to hear you're in pain today! I've never had carpal tunnel syndrome, but I had a monster migraine last week's end. Chronic pain sucks; there's nothing more miserable. Hope yours goes away fast.

And that video was too cute for words!

Feel better,
((hugs)) Nicole

Oh candlyand I'm so sorry!!! I know how painful the hands/wrists can be! Heal up!!!

I have carpal tunnel and tendinitis... fitting if your favorite thing to do is WRITE!

Get better :)

I've had it - it totally sucks. I went to the doctor the first time and he gave me a brace to wear. It TOTALLY helps and you can buy them at most drug stores for about $15. Kinda looks like fingerless gloves, only there is a metal bar that runs from your palm up past your wrist.

I also find that my carpal tunnel acts up when I am dehydrated, so I start chugging water at the first sign.

Soooo....drink lots of water and go find a wrist brace.

So this brought tears to my eyes. Keep that video forever. Rest your hands, but your eyes can keep busy. Read and be inspired. You're awesome, hon.

Awww, sorry. When my wrist starts acting up (always the right one), I use a brace for a while. Like Vicki said, they're pretty cheap at the drugstore, and really seem to help.

Oh, and love that video--so cute!

Dude, that completely sucks. Thankfully I don't have carpel tunnel, but my dad did (he had to have surgery for it)so I understand how painful it can be.

Use a brace, take an advil and try to stay off the computer as much as possible. Other than that, have a great day. :p

OHNO! i'm sorry you're hurting!!!
i get chronic pain in my hands and wrists- a brace definitely helps- sometimes they just need to rest though...
anyway!
that video is SO SO SO precious!
my kiddos ALWAYS try to break dance whenever music gets started- but yesterday i played some styx and they all started doing the robot! - who knew they could do that? :)

I agree the brace helps, also, lots and lots of ice. Frozen peas work well, sometimes running your wrist under cold water if you've over-done things.

I'm sorry you're hurting. I hope your hand feels better soon.

You can't post that video and not tell us who won.

Sorry to hear about your wrists. I can't offer any advice, because thankfully I haven't had to deal with it. But in addition to the suggestions of wrist braces and ice, I'd also suggest vodka. Enough of that should do the trick.

I heard a brace and rest works wonders but u might also want to see a doctor and get maybe a special keyboard and mouse

That video rules. I don't get carpal tunnel but I also can't type on a laptop. These two may or may not be related. No idea.

Yikes - not the best thing to happen to a writer. Nurse that wrist hon so you can keep rocking out the pages. MAybe you need some MEDICINE? Just saying.

Haha love the video! I'm sorry about your hands. I could always arrange for you to get one of those glass jars like David Duchoveny has in Zoolander...

urgh! I had it Friday-Sat-Sun. 10K wds in two weeks'll do it. (Plus work gigs) solution = rest & deep tissue massage on forearm.

Is that that dance-off video? That wii thing? cute cute :D

So cute! And hope you feel better soon. That stuff hurts like h-e-double hockey sticks!

Oh, that's rough. I hope you feel better soon! I haven't yet experienced it, but my wrists have started to get sore the past two days. It's all nano's fault.

never had carpal tunnel but i have had, what i like to call, frozen fingers. Where the room you're sitting in is so cold, that your fingers actually stop working. It makes it a bitch to do any sort of computer work

Karen Jones Gowen said...

Oh I feel bad for you! Carpal tunnel is awful. I've not had it but come close and freaked out. Not good for a writer!

Kelly Polark said...

Oh, no! Will you have to see a doctor? Good luck!
Is that the Just Dance Wii game?
I just put that and another Dance Wii game on my Christmas Wish List :)

Ouch! I've injured my left arm from the Bowflex. Don't laugh. It hurts a lot.

Aw, I feel your pain. Literally. My chiropractor makes me do these horrible stretches to help. I HATE them--they hurt so bad. But *grumbles* they do kind of help. Le sigh.

Talli Roland said...

I do, I do... it sucks. Just plain sucks! The only way I deal with it is by taking a break - I try not to type much on weekend.

Hope you feel better soon!

Awe I'm so sorry you're down today Candace! I hope you feel up to scratch again soon!

So sorry you're in pain, honey :o( I've had that a few times and I tell ya, I can't even pull my pants down to pee in the loo. I don't deal. I cry.

PS: the vid was adorable!

I have a problem with the joints in my fingers and toes. No fun for writing (especially the toes). It hurts more when I write freehand, so I don't do that very often. I have "flare-ups" when sometimes its worse than others. One doctor diagnosed me with an autoimune disorder (I also have problems with my muscles, rashes, hair falling out etc) and one doctor said no, I don't have an autoimune disorder. Whatever- the pain is still there no matter what. I don't know what to do about carpal Tunnel- glucosomine? My mother swears by it for her joints. I need to start taking it. So sorry you are feeling well!
